Primark Haul!

So, since the New Year, I've been out and about all over the place, Yeovil, Bournemouth, Poole, Bristol, and much to my boyfriend's disgust (please tell me if you have the same problem!), each of these places has a rather satisfactory Primark. If you know me, you'll know that I cannot resist Primark and it is VERY rare for me to come out of one empty-handed.

When I moved to Bristol in October I couldn't believe my luck when I learned that the second largest Primark in the UK was in fact in Bristol, just a ten minute walk from where I lived! I was in heaven but my bank account was doomed!

Primark in Bristol
As sad as this may sound, I fell even more in love with Primark due to the fact I was a student and the prices are amazing, it almost became my second home!

However, I left Bristol at the end of October and the closest Primark to where I live is quite a drive away so I have to make the most of one while I have access to it. In the first week of January me and my boyfriend stayed in a hotel in Bournemouth where I took advantage of the rather large Primark there, and then last week I returned from visiting him in Bristol, the home of my favourite store! So this is going to be a collective haul of the things I bought on both trips, some in the sale, some not, so that you can all get an idea of what's instore at the moment :)

Item #1

Scarf - Was: £4, Now: £2
This is possibly my favourite thing I've bought so far this year. I originally saw it when it was full price and I remember thinking 'Oooh that's interesting' but I didn't buy it because I wasn't sure what it would go with. However, when I went to Bristol last week I saw it again and it was reduced to £2 so I decided at that price, it didn't matter if it didn't go with anything! (It actually goes with everything). It's super soft but I have to admit not overly warm, but it does brighten up any outfit :)

Item #2

Owl Earrings - £1.50
Anyone who knows me knows I'm pretty obsessed with owls. Most of the stuff in my room has owls on, the majority of my jewellery has owls on, I even own pairs of knickers with owls on. So when I saw these, I couldn't resist and chucked them straight in the basket. They're so cute! And for £1.50 you definitely can't go wrong.

Item #3

Candles - £2 each
Okay, so, at the moment I'm going through a bit of an obsession with candles. I can't get enough candles. My desk in my room is covered in them and I love lighting a couple just before I go to bed to help me relax. I find Primark do quite a good selection of scented candles and they're all really cheap. Since the New Year I've noticed they've brought a new range into stores, which I found these in, and they have some really nice scents. The two I've bought are Raspberry and Papaya and Coconut Milk and Mango. These are cute little glass containers, all different colours, and I'm sure they'd have lots of different colours to suit whatever colour scheme you have in your house :) I also thought that the containers would be quite handy to put stuff in once the candle has been used up.

Item #4

Candle Tin - £2
Continuing with the candle obsession, I found this in the same range as the ones above, for the same price! They have these tins in the same scents as the glass ones and I picked this one up to go with my other Raspberry and Papaya one. They're fairly big for the price and I like candles in tins because I think they look nice dotted around the house :)

Item #5

Necklace - £4
I've been after a spiked necklace for a long time now, but I was hesitant to buy an expensive one, which is all I could find. But then I came across this beauty in Primark for £4 and bought it without a further thought. I'm so glad I did! I've had lots of compliments on it so far and it jazzes up any plain or even patterned top!

Item #6

Khaki Hoodie - Was: £8, Now: £3
I've been meaning to get a slouchy hoodie with shoelace neck strings for ages so I was chuffed when I found this in Primark for £3! I decided to go up a size cause I like my hoodies to be comfy and slouchy and I knew khaki would go with anything. This will be easy to just chuck over the top of any outfit and it's quite lightweight and so I'll be able to wear it in the Summer too :)

Item #7

Blazer - Was: £16, Now: £10
When I found this blazer, it was the only one of its kind on the sale rail. All of the other blazers on the rail were reduced to £10 but this one still said full price. I tried it on and fell in love with it and decided to take it to the till to find out if it had been reduced or not. When the guy scanned it he said it was still full price so I told him I'd found it on the sale rail and he manually reduced it to £10 for me, result! I haven't actually worn this yet, I'm waiting for the perfect outfit to wear it with. But similar to the hoodie I know it'll go with anything and although it's a blazer, the jersey material makes it quite casual :)

Item #8

Cardigan - £14
I swear my lifetime ambition has been to find a baggy, slouchy cardi that I can just chuck on with any outfit for a bit of warmth or just another layer. I've spent what feels like years searching for the perfect one! And then I found this, and I love it! The colour goes with anything and the bronze studs on the shoulders jazz it up a bit and make it more stylish. I was even more chuffed when I left Primark, went into Topshop and found one LITERALLY identical for £42, three times the price!

Item #9

Sweatshirt - Was: £8, Now: £3
This is the final item of this haul and a bit of a bargain too! It's burgundy, one of my favourite colours at the moment and has studs all over the front of it, a style feature which you'd find throughout my wardrobe at the moment! I couldn't resist this one for £3 but I'd advise going up a size in it, I did and it's still quite tight on me :/

So that's the end of this haul but no doubt I'll have another Primark one for you soon! I've also done quite a bit of shopping elsewhere this month and might do another collective haul in the week :)

Thanks for reading :)

Ta ta for now!
